However in this case we chose the right side. On the left there was literally no shoulder, plus it was going around a steep curve so an oncoming car whizzing around wouldn't see us until it was right on top of us. I will say though, that it was weird to have cars passing by us on the left. Unfortunately there was no really good choice. The vast majority of the time I would agree with both of you.
