The map now includes Day 33 (and Day 26 as noted below the previous blog post).

I suspect that the sheep and goat were in the yard only temporarily. There is still grass around.

Our town continually battles over usage of land left in trust to the town. Some has already been sold. Others parts are wanted for purposes outside of the trust. A hundred year old trust is not being honored.

I just learned of this website after purchasing some Ron Paul tshirts - they sent along some inserts about this journey. We just moved to NH as part of the FSP in March of this year - we drove, though! It’s so awesome you are doing this - I’m in complete awe and look forward to the rest of your travels (thank you so, so much for youtubing this!) and your home-coming!

Incredible and inspiring - I’m excited to tell other people about what you’re doing. :)

  4. Will Buchanan Says:

Ah, so they probably had them there just to cut the grass? :)

That’s a great example about the land trusts in your town. I didn’t have any specifics before. Thanks!

  5. Will Buchanan Says:

Thanks RCC! It’s really motivating to receive comments like that.

What was the website you ordered the Ron Paul tshirts from?

BDP, it looks like days 32 and 33 are both at the day 32 location. Also, here are my “reverse engineered” estimates for days prior to day 24; feel free to use them or not. Some of these (notably days 1, 5, 19 & 20) are little more than guesses, but I think most are reasonably close.

Thanks for taking the time to do this, Brian! It will be interesting to see how close your guesses were after I have a chance to download my gps watch data into a Google map.

  9. Tim Burger Says:

    You’re right- Oregon is beautiful.

  10. Rick Saunders Says:

Was that phone booth in a movie? My first thought when I saw the scene of the buildings with the phone booth was it looked exactly like a scene from a movie I saw a long time ago. I don’t remember what movie it was (probably at least 20-30 years old) but I just remember somebody got off (or was thrown off) a bus in the middle of nowhere in the mountains and there just happened to be a phone booth there.

  11. Will Buchanan Says:

Could be! I can’t think of a movie that would have had that phone booth in it myself. It would be fun to see though if you think of it.

  12. Russell Kanning Says:

In NH we have noticed that a lot of the woods are owned by private groups. Various conservancy groups let you walk through their land.

  13. Will Buchanan Says:

    That’s great to hear, Russell!

  14. Carol Ann Webb Says:

I especially loved the pictures of Brooke in the meadow - and the moon.

  15. Will Buchanan Says:

I really liked that image too.
