It's sad that people have to wait for approval to build their own home.

Today we got approval to proceed with the next phase of construction of our new home. It was a THREE week delay, waiting for a report from an engineer's inspection.

What do you want to bet lanes stay shut down waiting for an inspection?????

In Hawaii it was really bad as well. There was one project that dragged on for several months, and didn't open even after it seemed finished.

Good luck!

Will, funny how I was thinking the exact same thing about construction this morning. There is a seemingly minor project that I go past just about every day, and it has already gone on for about two months now. It involves lane reductions and a significant speed reduction that can sometimes back traffic up quite a bit. About a week ago they finished the project but haven't bothered to open traffic back up yet. I can't see this type of thing happen on a private-based road with competition. Of course, this goes on all the time under our current socialized road system.

I'll take you up on the challenge. I'll somehow manage to find a new vista today!
