Don’t be so hard on coffee shop guy. His life is a journey of ups and downs as well. Remember, by your own comments, he is not the same person after meeting you as before. Meeting you may or may not change his thoughts or actions but it will contribute to his growth and could lead the next interaction with liberty to motivate him.
You’re the Johnny Appleseed of Liberty - broadcasting (in both the farming and communication senses of the word) those Liberty Seeds. And wherever they happen to fall, your job isn’t to stay around and water and fertilize and prune the growth - you’re just plantin’ the seeds and movin’ on.
