Living on a private road encourages neighbors to cooperate. We just met with our neighbors to negotiate the repair of some culverts. The cost shouldn’t be born by only the adjacent property owner as two other homesteads must traverse that section in order to get home. The heavy trucks needed to build our home did considerable damage so we will pay the bulk of the cost. The others had access to resources that we didn’t. We all will benefit.
