Walk For Liberty Day 199 - Detained By Police - Do People Have the Right To Initiate Force On You If They’re Feeling Uncomfortable?

November 22nd 2008, day 199 / Beautiful snow / Backward footsteps / Detained by police for 2nd time on Walk For Liberty, in Seneca Falls, NY / Got audio of most of the encounter / Didn’t really feel like challenging him or messing with him since I had just learned our RV would be stuck in town for at least the weekend after breaking down / I did ask him if I was being detained, and he said I was / He gets firm at first question from me / Warrant search / Paranoid person had called in / Cop trying to justify himself / Cop admitted I hadn’t done anything wrong, but yet continued to detain me! / Do cops have an obligation to investigate all complaints against someone? / Detainment under threat of violence / Do people realize that calling the cops to investigate someone is initiating force on them? / Does the fact that you feel uncomfortable give you the right to initiate force on someone? / Do you have the right not to feel uncomfortable, or to have the state help you to stay comfortable? / Filming something is not initiating force / Slippery slope of using the state to initiate force based on someone’s emotions / 9/11 is the government’s tired old excuse for exerting more control on people due to the “terrorist threat” / The state making people paranoid / 21.39 miles for liberty / http://Amazon.WalkForLiberty.com / Area Speed Limit / Cayuga Indian Reservation
